This is the main text that a visitor sees after clicking "Read More." The intro text is also shown above, but can optionally be turned off on the actual content page. Other parameters can also be controlled, for example whether or not to show author names, created/modified dates, "back" and "next" links, and so on. These can be set globally and can be overriden per content item as well.
