This allows your site to grow with your needs. Depending on the particular requirements of a project, that may mean going with Joomla, Drupal, WordPress, Typo3, Pligg, or any of a number of other systems.

Perhaps you don't have the time to keep your site up to date and you don't feel like learning a new piece of software.
