There is a world of possibilities in open source software. Content management systems and social media platforms such as Joomla, Drupal, WordPress, and many others allow you to achieve a wide range of desired functionality. However, they may not always do what you want "out of the box". In such cases there may be a need for a custom plugin, module, or other extension.
It is often possible to use open source to achieve the majority of your requirements, while the remaining functionality can be achieved through custom programming of modules - a.k.a. add-ons or extensions. In other cases there may be a need to write standalone scripts that connect to an existing system. We work with PHP, MySQL, Linux, Apache JavaScript, jQuery, as well as of course HTML and CSS. We have also worked with ASP.net, IIS, ColdFusion, Perl & CGI scripts, Flash & ActionScript, and others.
