Social Media

We have experience integrating Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms with broader internet marketing strategies. If you don't incorporate social media into your marketing strategy, you may be losing potential customers.

Is it worth the extra effort? What's all the hype about?

Actually, it does not have to result in much additional work for you. Joomla, Drupal, WordPress, and other CMSes can be set up to send automatic tweets when a post or item is added. This means there is in fact NO additional effort required from you at all, beyond regular website or blog editing. Updates and posts can also be sent automatically to Facebook.

Even if you don't understand or like Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms, they do attract major traffic, and it would be unwise to ignore that fact.

Blogs

Blogs are a great way to build a loyal following and targeted traffic. That can help you capture more leads, and is often more effective than spending a lot of money on pay-per-click (PPC) advertising.

If you are starting with a smaller budget, and often even if you have the budget, it may make sense to start with a blog integrated with Twitter. This should be carefully coordinated with an SEO strategy so that other sites link to yours and you start receiving traffic that way. That also improves your search engine ranking over time, which means you will need to spend less on PPC advertising. Once those things are in place, it may pay to also consider PPC advertising - certainly as an alternative to traditional advertising such as Yellow Pages.
